This is a Yellow Ware Yelloware Yellowware English Nappie Signed "Sharpes/Warranteed/Fireproof" impressed on the bottom. It is a large size and measures 11 3/4" diameter and 3" tall. It is of English origin and dates to the late 19thC.

There is nice crazing to the glaze, has a strong light egg yolk color, has a scalloped embossed design to the interior rim, has a manufacturers wrinkle to the rim (possibly where the potter put his thumb to pick up the nappie, glaze wear around three stilt marks to the interior, and an extremely small glaze flick to the outer rim (more like a glaze pop). When tapping the rim, the nappie has a nice clear ring to it.
