This is an old embossed yellow ware colander with white slip interior. Most likely produced in England with this embossing pattern, but an old one C1930 with hand punched holes in a fairly random pattern. There is a tight hairline from the rim that goes to the left rope hole down to the next hole as shown in front and difficult to notice. Also the white slip has flaked off in 3 small places right at the top of the interior rim where it was not applied correctly.

The colander measures 11" diameter and has an embossed diamond in an oval pattern. On one of those ovals there is a production produced spot the size of a dime where it touched something else during firing leaving glaze, and then some glaze pulled off when separated leaving unglazed surface. Very typical of earlier produced yellow ware pottery.
