This is a Yellow Ware Yellowware Hull Blue Banded Pitcher, the largest size in the graduated set of six that Hull produced during the 1920's and 30's. And it is one of the hardest sizes to find especially if you are trying to put together a graduated grouping. It measures 6 3/4" tall and 4 1/2" diameter at the mouth and has a nice bulbous form. It was molded with a pinched spout and applied handle.

There is a clear shiny glaze over the yellow clay (that has some stoneware in it). There is a tiny old glaze flick to the spout, and two tight 2" hairlines from the rim showing to the interior but only one of them showing to the exterior. There is crazing to the glaze as it should have.

The applied handle has the possibility of a tight hairline across the handle but it may only be in the glaze. Again this is a harder to find size for the set.
