| This is a 19thC New England Pantry Box in original Chrome Yellow Milk Paint measuring 7 7/8" diameter and 3 1/4" high. This box is GREAT and one of the best chrome yellow ones that I have ever had! The chrome yellow milk paint is rather thickly applied with lots and lots of brush strokes that I like so much. It has a nice dull dry surface to the paint as well.
There is penny nail and wood peg construction, and a really good strong heavy construction. It is a nice medium to large size as well. The interior is clean, the base is unpainted, and there are no cracks or splits. This great box has great wear and patina and may have had a thin white wash over it at one time. There are tiny dots of white that come off with a fingernail.
This is a fabulous box and one of the best!
