This is a wonderful C1820-30 New England Blue + White Cotton Check Table Cover all handwoven and dyed with natural indigo. I picked it up in New England here many years ago and is from my collection. It measures 29" x 29".

Two sides are handwoven selvage and the other opposite sides have a very narrow hand stitched original hem. You can see that it was woven to be this size from the naturally dyed indigo border on all four sides. There are no holes rips or tears, but many small stains here and there from use and age. The check design is about 3/4" square, and the blue border measures 2 1/4" wide.

The weaving was done by an expert who knew how to weave. And the naturally dyed indigo blue color is so nice and soft. This is an excellent early checked table cover.
