| This is a C1880-90 Blue Calico Four Patch Doll Quilt with Two Sides. This is a two sided doll quilt with a pieced patchwork design on each side not two separate different quilts. The front side is a four patch design and the backing is a one patch pieced design. The doll quilt is all completely hand pieced and hand stitched, but not quilted as there is no batting.
There are some minor tan aging to some of the white background cotton calicoes. there are no rips, tears or holes with an all original hand stitched binding. The color combination of red, white and blue is inviting and wonderful with a variety of fabrics. The doll quilt measures 17 1/4" x 17". Just studying the fabrics is fascinating.
