The one thing I really love about this antique 19thC hooked rug (more like a mat as it only measures 18" x 20") is the wonderful multitude of cotton fabrics used. You have to look carefully but you can find blue cotton calico and other prints mostly in the blue and brown combination which is so pleasing to the eye. Burlap is the foundation fabric and the rug is bound with rug binding twill tape. The design execution is also wonderful and dazzling keeping you eye interested.

The rug is professionally mounted on a frame ready to hang. There is one small repair the size of a dime near an edge and one 4"long row has been rehooked with a wool fabric. This rug has been one of my favorites for years.
